Working in the wedding industry has been a privilege for us! In addition to our amazing brides and grooms, we also LOVE all of the vendors and amazing companies that work alongside us to create memories.

In this series, we are highlighting some of our favorite vendors.

Meet Jaclyn, owner of At Last Wedding + Event Design! We asked her a few questions to dive into who she is and dig up some valuable information for future couples.

How did you get started in the wedding industry?

I knew I wanted to be a wedding planner when I was a teenager. When I jetted off to college, I started working for various venues and other wedding-related businesses in Orlando. I started At Last Weddings 10 years ago and the rest is history!

Do you have an absolute favorite moment that you love at weddings?

Absolutely! (In fact, there are quite a few!) I love peeping in on bride and grooms' first look. Another favorite is when I'm about to send our bride down the aisle and I give her that quick reminder to move slowly and take it all in. It's such a sweet moment and it's always full of emotion and excitement!

How far out do couples normally book your services for their wedding?

It varies, but most couples find us in the beginning of wedding planning, just after their engagement or sometimes just after their venue has been booked. This is the best time to find your planner or coordinator so they can assist you through the planning process, guide you in the right direction, offer vendor recommendations that fit the style/budget, keep you on track, etc.

What tips can you offer couples when choosing their wedding coordinator?

Ask them about their company contingency plan! What happens if their coordinator has an emergency and is unable to execute the wedding? Having a qualified and experienced team to back them up is so important.

What song that the DJ plays at a wedding always makes you run to the dance floor?

"Give Me Everything" by Pitbull and Ne-Yo and "DJ Got Us Falling In Love" by Usher. These are the perfect songs to get the dance floor going—so fun!
