Pamela has been a Photobooth Rocks event-goer since February 2016! Some of the core values that shine brightest for her is her reliability and professionalism. She also has a very unique personality. When you first meet her, don't let her quietness fool you! She is the perfect blend of serious and fun! Photobooth Manager JJ says, " I love having Pam on the team because she has that go-getter way about her!"

Meet Pamela

What is your role at Photobooth Rocks?
I am a Photobooth attendant, aka a hostess with the mostess!

Who inspires you?
My grandfather passed away recently, and he always gave me advice to stay in school and work hard. He was a World War II vet, a smart businessman and he was always super active, whether he was golfing, traveling, or taking one of us on a “power walk”. He set an example to always work hard and play hard and I try to live by those words.

(We agree Pam. I think that's why we get along to great!)

What was the best concert you ever went to?
PEARL JAM! I’ve seen them 20 times and can’t ever get enough. My dream is to follow them the next time they tour Australia!

When people ask “what do you do”, how do you answer?
Well I skim over my boring day job (snooze fest) and talk about how I work the most fun events as a photo booth host. I get to be part of people’s dream day, whether it’s their wedding, sweet 16, or graduation, and I help to make the memories they will never forget.

Where is you're favorite place in the world?
If it’s not the beach (total Florida-born beach girl here), it would be Italy. I loved the laid back vibe and the beautiful views of the Amalfi Coast! And give me all the pasta please!

What are you passionate about?
I love to travel and see how the rest of the world lives. And I love to learn. I can always be found googling something or reading up on a new subject. We live in a time where anything we could ever want to know is at our finger tips, so why not jump in and learn something new?

What's your favorite family tradition?
My dad’s family gets together once a year to play this card game called setback. There’s so much food and the competition gets fierce! It’s fun because every year the group grows as our family grows so it’s great to be together and stay connected.

Who would you most like to swap places with for a day?
I would love to see how truly fabulous a day in the life of Beyoncé is. Would I get to jet around in the most posh way? Would I hang out with the Obamas or some European royalty? More importantly, would I have those dance moves and that amazing voice?!

What did you do before you did this?
I am corporate paralegal for a resort company by day. In the past I’ve had retail jobs and worked at a law firm, but this is by far my favorite job.

When and how did you get into the wedding industry?
Honestly, I kinda fell into it. I was looking to make some extra money for an upcoming trip and friend suggested I join Photobooth Rocks. I only planned to do it for a few months until my trip, but was having so much fun I decided to stay on and here I am 2.5 years later!

How did your work evolve to get you to where you are today?
I’ve been working the photo booth for over 2 years now, and I feel that I’ve gained a sense of how the night is going to go when the event starts.

What advice would you have for future Our DJ Rocks and Photobooth Rocks team members?
Have fun! We are there to provide the fun for the party and create memories. Always always always try to get the parents of the bride and groom to make a video and their grandparents too. It’s an awesome keepsake for the couple to have. And offer up those props, even to the “too cool for school” guy or diva who just wants to do some glamour shots. When approached with the right humor you can crack those tough exteriors!

How do you balance career and family?
I am lucky to have a great support system. My boyfriend and his daughter love that I do this and can’t wait until I am home to tell them about the events I’ve worked. Since this is not my only job sometimes we have to juggle home responsibilities when I am working all weekend, but being organized and having flexibility makes it all come together.

What drew you to Photobooth Rocks originally? And how has Photobooth Rocks changed since?
Photobooth Rocks has gotten more “street cred” since I started. I had never had any experience with this industry or photo booths before I started. It has been fun to watch the company grow, and it’s really fun when I work an event and a couple comes up and gushes over how we (rocked) worked their wedding, or they are excited that we are going to be working their upcoming event.

What is your proudest moment at Photobooth Rocks?
The time I was able to please a very hard-to-please bride by moving the booth to a different location because at the last minute she decided she wanted it moved. I got a taste for what the black ops team deals with, and I was able to push that booth all by myself! ????????

What do you like most about Photobooth Rocks?
Besides working with some crazy fun people, I like that every event is a new experience. I like that we have a reputation for being the party starters, that as soon as another vendor sees me, they talk up how fun it was to work with us in the past, or how Kristin and Mark are a hoot. I like that as a company they are not stuck in their ways and are always looking to innovate and change things up. There’s no going stale here.

Tell us about your most memorable event so far and why it was.
I worked a beautiful Indian wedding that lasted all night! I was there until 2 am, and when I left the party was still going. It was at a hotel and the party was so fierce that they needed security to kick out some wedding crashers! The bride and groom were so much fun and took so many photos and insisted that we enjoy the food (2 of us were working).

I worked a corporate event that was super fun and one of the (drunk) vibrant guests insisted that I take photos with her. We couldn’t stop laughing and every time I look at the photo strip I crack up because I remember how serious she was about taking the perfect photo.

What’s the best part of your job?
Being a fly on the wall. Watching all the fun and chaos of the event. And at times being the most popular person in the room. Having an excited bride come up and tell me how she’s been looking forward to taking photos.

What motivates you to do this everyday?
Knowing that I’m helping to create memories for our clients. It doesn’t feel like a job when you’re having fun.

What fun-fact would people be surprised to learn about you?
I've somehow become a total cat lady. I have 2 cats who are my little monsters and if my boyfriend allowed it I would have 10 more.

What is the best compliment you’ve received from your clients?
I had a really excited bride thank me for getting her super serious dad to wear a leopard hat and giant sunglasses. The pictures of him made her night.

What are the most common questions you get asked by brides and/or grooms?
Are their guests having a good time? The answer is usually heck, yeah!

Best piece of advice for our clients?
Photo booth related: If you can, give the responsibility of obtaining the photo book to your wedding coordinator. Don’t give that job to a guest who we have to pull aside from the fun to take it. Especially if you are having a fabulous send-off!

Not business related: take a moment and let the day sink in! It’s so rare that all your loved ones are in one room so enjoy them! And come visit the photo booth with them! 😉
