Happy anniversary! Your wedding day was one of our favorite nights to be part of, and the love you shared in front of our booth is still one of the sweetest things we get to see. Life gets full fast, so here is an easy anniversary date night at home. No reservations, no babysitter scramble. Just the two of you.
1. Relive Your Photo Booth Strips
Open your online gallery or find your printed strips and look through them together. Pick your favorite, your silliest, and the one your guests still talk about. Then recreate one pose on your phone. Year-one you next to today's you is always a good laugh.
2. Mix a Cocktail for Two
2 oz gin or vodka, 1 oz elderflower liqueur, ½ oz fresh lemon juice. Shake with ice, strain into a coupe, top with prosecco.
Muddle 3 strawberries and 3 basil leaves with ½ oz simple syrup and ½ oz lime. Add 2 oz vodka, or skip it and use sparkling water. Shake with ice and pour over fresh ice.
3. Cook Dinner Together
Cook 8 oz linguine, saving ½ cup pasta water. Sauté 3 minced garlic cloves in 2 tbsp butter and 1 tbsp olive oil, add ¾ lb peeled shrimp and cook 2 minutes per side. Add the juice and zest of 1 lemon, a pinch of red pepper flakes, the pasta and a splash of pasta water. Toss with parsley and Parmesan.
Melt ½ cup chocolate chips with 1 tsp coconut oil in 20-second bursts. Dip 10 strawberries, set on parchment, and chill 15 minutes. Feed each other one. That's the rule.
4. Anniversary Questions for Couples
- What moment from our wedding day still makes you smile?
- Which photo booth pic is the most "us"?
- What was your favorite thing we did together this year?
- When did you feel most proud of us?
- What is one tradition we should start this year?
- Where do you want us to be on our next anniversary?
5. Get Closer
Ready to go a little deeper? Take turns, put the phones away, and really listen.
- Finish this sentence: "I feel closest to you when..."
- When did you feel most seen by me this year?
- What is something hard we got through that made us stronger?
- What is one way I can love you better this year?
- What is a dream you haven't said out loud yet?
- What memory of us do you never want to forget?
Little ritual: Each write a short love letter, seal it with your favorite photo strip, and don't open it until next anniversary.
